HRIS Streamlining

Streamlining HRIS

Human Resource Information System (HRIS) streamlining involves efficiently utilising an automated HRIS to capture important and repetitive information that is stored online to which it could effectively be reutilised and then pushed out into different operational activities (streamlined) at any given moment to speed up normal Human Resources (HR) practices.

This means that if a business wishes to generate a contract for an employee within the recruitment stage of the employee lifecycle, management will not need to re-enter the essential components of data that employees provide when entering progressing throughout recruitment (such as; name, email address, residence, etc) as streamlining through HRIS provides the platform for management not needing to complete highly time-consuming and repetitive activities.

HR management effectively aims to capitalise on HRIS streamlining to generate value for the organisation, this has been reported in a recent Deloitte report that covered creating value through HR, purposefully stating that at step 5 the organisation should carefully consider utilising HR solutions to streamline processes for perfect execution of HR strategy throughout a workforce lifecycle.  Specifically, it could be seen the usefulness of HRIS streamlining is highly important for HR management to effectively utilise for the following reasons.

Removal of Double Entry

HRIS that effectively utilise streamlining to its full potential are effectively able to ensure that HR management do not need to double enter information that can be repetitive and timely. Simply an effective HRIS will ensure that the data is implemented into the activity needed to be completed at any given moment.

An example of one way in which this is done is through onboarding employees whereby these employees record their banking details in order to receive payments throughout their time within the organisation. Simply the HRIS streamlined process will pass this information onto the respective areas such as payroll in order for double entry to be removed from the onboarding process.

Increased Decision-Making Time

Through HRIS streamlining data it could be effectively seen that HR Management is able to effectively have more time for key organisational decisions. Due to the removal of double entries HR managers now are presented the opportunity to effectively find ways to better push the organisation and employees unto a more value driven path.

Specifically, with this increased time due to streamlining, HR management may utilise their time to make decisions to ensure employees are constantly being engaged, satisfied and pushed to work further to their highest potential within the organisation.

Faster HR Productivity

HRIS streamlining has further ensured that HR management is able to effectively complete more daily organisational activities faster and more efficiently than before. Traditional HR processes ensured that organisations would utilise nightmare filled spreadsheets and paper-based documentation to complete activities which was largely time-consuming and taxing on the HR managements productivity.

Although today HR managers are able to utilise HRIS that is paper-less with streamlined information and data that ensures HR managers do not need to utilise excessive spreadsheets that take large amounts of time to sift through. Simply, through streamlined systems HR managers are provided with real data, automated and ready to complete various operational activities in a matter of seconds.
